Day 24: mile 566.5 - 577.3

I ended up showering before my family arrived. After two nights of hardly any sleep, an afternoon nap in a clean hotel bed was too much to pass up. And I wasn't crawling into those sheets dirty. That makes four showers in ~550 miles, and a new appreciation for hot running water, shampoo, and soap.

Day 19: mile 453.4 - 478.2

The first Hiker Heaven shuttle to the trail was at 7am, and by then I was up and rearing to go. I counted fifty-one tents in Hiker Heaven this morning when I got up.

Day 15: mile 369.4 - 386 (plus ~five detour miles)

Day 5: mile 109.5 - 131.4

• Don't drop it like it's hot

Day 0: mile 0.0 - 20.0

• Hike your own hike
• 7L water + 4 days food = 41lb pack
• Sun umbrellas are the shit
• I'm either not allergic to poison oak, or its leaves aren't secreting the toxins yet
• "Unregistered miles" is a term I'll be getting familiar with
